Every Saturday since 2003, the front window of the Communist’s Daughter is home to a jazz quartet. Red Rhythm plays Swing Manouche in the style of Django Reinhardt while I stand behind the bar, serving the room, playing trumpet, singing tunes and telling tales.
The room is tiny. Arrive by 3:30 to get a seat for the 4pm start.
